Peter Dolinšek, a Slovenian bass, is currently a member of the soloist ensemble at the Leipzig Opera, where he joined in 2022. His repertoire with the company includes Masetto in Don Giovanni, the Sacristan in Tosca, Hans in Undine, and Curio in Giulio Cesare in Egitto. As a guest artist, he appeared as Sarastro in Die Zauberflöte at the Festspiel der deutschen Sprache in Bad Lauchstädt (2023). From 2019 to 2021, Mr. Dolinšek was a member of the choir academy at the Wiener Staatsoper.

Mr. Dolinšek began his vocal studies in 2013 at the Vič-Rudnik Music School in Ljubljana with Alenka Slokar Bajc. He went on to complete a bachelor’s degree in solo singing at the Music and Arts University of the City of Vienna (MUK), studying under Michail Lanskoi and Akiko Nakajima. Since 2022, he has pursued further studies with KS Roland Schubert at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy Leipzig.

Mr. Dolinšek has performed under the direction of conductors including Matthias Foremny, Christoph Gedschold, Antonino Fogliani, Jonathan Darlington, and Ruben Dubrovsky. His stage repertoire spans composers from Mozart and Puccini to Lortzing, Britten, and Shostakovich.

He is a recipient of a scholarship from the Gabriele Sima Foundation and has earned several awards in international competitions, including wins at the Petar Konjović Competition (Belgrade, 2016) and Daleki Akordi (Split, 2018). In 2021, he was a finalist at the Joseph Haydn International Singing Competition in Rohrau.
