Berke Tükenmez

T. Berke Tükenmez is a Turkish bass currently engaged with the Istanbul State Opera and Ballet. He has appeared internationally with the International Opernwerkstatt in Switzerland and Germany, and performed as a soloist with ensembles such as the Istanbul Chamber Orchestra and the Hacettepe Symphony Orchestra. Recent highlights include his portrayal of Don Magnifico in Rossini’s La Cenerentola (per bambini) at the 16th International Istanbul Opera and Ballet Festival, and Masetto in Don Giovanni under the baton of Maestro İbrahim Yazıcı.
Mr. Tükenmez began his formal musical training at Hacettepe University Ankara State Conservatory, where he studied with Maia Mari Chikhradze and graduated with high honors in 2021. He is currently pursuing a Master’s degree at the Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University Istanbul State Conservatory, under the guidance of renowned bass Burak Bilgili.
In 2025, he appeared in Harmony with Coffee, a commemorative concert for Ayşegül Sarıca, with the Istanbul Chamber Orchestra conducted by Maestro Rengim Gökmen. That same year, he sang Masetto in Don Giovanni at the Istanbul State Opera and Ballet. In 2024, he was featured as a soloist in the “Stars of the Future” concert series with the Istanbul State Opera and Ballet Orchestra under Maestro Zdravko Lazarov. In 2023, he participated in the International Opernwerkstatt, performing in Sigriswil, Bern, Basel, Zurich, and Wiesbaden under Maestro Andreas Kowalewitz.
Earlier engagements include performances with the Hacettepe Symphony Orchestra: Don Bartolo in Le nozze di Figaro(2018–2020) under Maestros Sunay Muratov and Burak Tüzün; bass soloist in Ahmed Adnan Saygun’s Cantata in Old Style at the Atatürk Anniversary Concerts led by Maestro Nezih Seçkin; and Franz Schubert’s Schwanengesang in recital with Maestro Robert Seidel.
Mr. Tükenmez received First Prize in the 15th National Young Soloist Competition (Professional Category) in 2023, and was awarded Second Prize in the 26th Siemens Turkey Opera Competition in 2024.
