Andrei Petre

Romanian tenor Andrei Petre (*1996) is a distinguished graduate of the National University of Music in Bucharest and currently holds a scholarship from the Internationale OpernWerkstatt - Festival der jungen Stimmen in Switzerland. He is the recipient of numerous accolades, including the Grand Prize at the national singing competition "Paul Constantinescu" and the Best Young Singer award at the 2019 Festival and National Competition of the Romanian Lied - Mariana Nicoles.

Mr. Petre is a member of the Soloist Ensemble at the National Opera in Bucharest, and has performed leading roles such as Alfredo in "La Traviata," Edgardo in "Lucia di Lammermoor," Arturo in "I Puritani," and Nemorino in "L’elisir d’amore." Additionally, he is a permanent invited artist at the Comic Opera for Children in Bucharest, where he has portrayed Caramello in "Eine Nacht in Venedig" and Bastien in "Bastien und Bastienne."
